Welcome message for chat invitations

You can now proactively invite your website visitors to chat by displaying a welcome message that could appear above the chat icon in Slim and Harmony widgets.

To invite visitors to chat, do the following:

  1. In the Bold360 Console, go to Touchpoints > Widgets.
  2. Click Personalize under the widget type that you want to change.
  3. Select a knowledge base or URL to customize.
  4. On the Basics tab, make sure you have an Auto Question selected.
  5. On the Position & Size tab, click Customize next to Welcome Mode and select the Invite option.
  6. Optionally, define a delay to display the welcome message in the Welcome mode welcome message trigger time (in seconds) field.
  7. Save your changes.

Context-sensitive welcome messages

You can now use article variations of a selected welcome message to personalize customer experience based on context. Context must be defined in the widget code.

To select a context-specific welcome message, do the following:

  1. In the Bold360 Console, go to Touchpoints > Widgets.
  2. Click Personalize under the widget type that you want to change.
  3. Select a knowledge base or URL to customize.
  4. On the Basics tab, make sure you have an Auto Question selected.
  5. Select the Context-sensitive Auto Question option.

Note: When you select an article for welcome message that has variations and do not select the Context-sensitive Auto Question option, then you must select a variation to be displayed for customers as welcome message.

Article metadata displayed in Advise widget

In Advice widgets, you can now display metadata of an article so that customers gain more insights. Displayable metadata includes the following:

  • Article creation date
  • Last updated date
  • Most recent person who updated the article
  • Labels

To enable this feature, do the following:

  1. In the Bold360 Console, go to Touchpoints > Widgets.
  2. Click Personalize under the Advise widgets.
  3. Select a knowledge base or URL to customize.
  4. On the Basics tab, select Display Article Metadata.
  5. Save your changes.

Set chat language from source code in iOS Harmony SDK

You can set chat language directly from code when using the iOS Harmony SDK. To do so:

  1. Create a live account.
        let liveAccount = LiveAccount()
  2. Set the preferred language code.
        liveAccount.languageCode = "fr-FR"

Remember: Bold360 provides translations in the following languages:  English (en-US), Dutch (nl-NL), French (fr-FR), German (de-DE), Italian (it-IT), Spanish (es-ES), Portuguese (pt-BR). 

For all other languages, you must provide your own translations.

Unique email address validation within the same Bold account

From now on, as part of our unified login experience, you should enter a unique email address when setting up or editing an agent’s email address. This requirement is a part of an ongoing effort to ensure security best practices and enables you to have the same email address for different Bold360 accounts.

Separate menu item for Voices assigned to me

As a content editor, you can now list voices that are assigned to you in the new Search Optimizer 2.0 menu.
